More than 90% of motorcycle clothing and equipment is manufactured in China or Pakistan. And the factories in question have "standard" models and materials that have already been proven, which supply a large part of the offer visible on the market, with a few details.
At RAER MOTORCYCLE, we have made the following inverse choices:
o We develop our own base models: most often inspired by 20th-century military equipment and workwear, and adapted to the demands of riding.
Here, in-house expertise plays a full role: the pattern making and the creation of the 1st prototype are done in-house, and largely determine the final result. Namely, a garment with unusual proportions for motorcycle clothing: ease where needed, and a silhouette that resembles ready-to-wear clothing. This might seem insignificant, but in reality, it makes all the difference.
o We select the best materials in France, Italy, Spain, and the UK: from the best houses, recognized for their technicality and their mastery of technical and aesthetic performance, over time. Our linings are carefully chosen to be both strong and singularly beautiful to look at.
o We have our products manufactured in specialized workshops in France and Portugal, in small, often limited series: the choice of each manufacturer is based on their ability to precisely meet the technical requirements of our creations, and to find operational solutions that can be reproduced in small series.
o We control the adherence to our quality grade standards ourselves.
